Is there a difference between equality and equity? We often fight for gender equality, but is that really what we want or there is more to that. While we mean to fight for gender equity, we wrongly say we’re fighting for gender equality.
My dear ladies, please let’s remember that we can never be equal to men just like they can’t become like us. Oh yeah! We each have different roles to play.
Fighting for equality means that men should become like women and vice versa which is like saying men should be carrying pregnancies and women be able to impregnate!
Gender equity is very much different from gender equality. Are you looking for equity or equality? When we understand what these two are, then we will be able to know what we want and fight for it.
let’s be mindful in our fight for equality and not be misled. We can be respected for who we are without being equal. We’re unique just the way we are! Oh yes we are unique
